COMMUNITY ALERT - ROBBERY INCIDENT
800 Block of Yeadon Avenue
On December 4th 2009 at approximately 11:20p.m, a 17-year-old juvenile male was walking northbound on Church Lane from the Tri-Star Store located at Church Lane & Chester Avenue. The victim was walking to his home in the 800 block of Yeadon Avenue. The victim turned onto Parmley Avenue, heading towards Yeadon Avenue, when he noticed a vehicle described as a Dodge Caravan type vehicle drive very slow pass him. When the victim turned onto the 800 block of Yeadon Avenue, the vehicle slowed and stopped near him. The victim then observed two (2) males quickly exiting the van. He also noticed a Black Female seated in the right front passenger seat of the vehicle. Both males immediately approached the victim and demanded his money. One of the suspects displayed a dark colored handgun. The victim s cell phone was stolen and the males jumped back into the van and drove northbound on Yeadon Avenue towards Parmley Avenue.
Suspect # 1 Description: (Driver) Blk/Male, 19-20 years, med. height, 185 lbs, Dark skin, mustache with beard, husky build, wearing a black knit hat, black Dickie type cargo pants and black timber land boots. Armed with a handgun.
Suspect #2 Description: Blk/Male, 17-18 years, med. height, 165 lbs, Brown Skin, Lt mustache w/Lt. Beard, Blk hair, black hoody and knit cap, black leather jacket w/flaps on the breast pockets, blue jeans and black canvass with white rubber soled shoes.
Suspect s Vehicle: Possibly a 1996 Dodge Caravan, Beige or Champagne in color with a black molding stripe around van. Vehicle had a passenger side sliding door. The body of the vehicle was in poor shape. The vehicle had no hubcaps or wheel covers.
The suspects should be considered to be armed and dangerous.
